The Habit Of Gratitude

The Law of Attraction states that the Universe gives you back what you put out. In other words, when you project gratitude, the Universe will give it back to you – so if you can find a way to appreciate what you have, you will get even more back.

But we live in a highly negative world., making it easy to pick up negative energy. And even though that energy isn’t necessarily our own, the Universe doesn’t really know the difference. So we have to be carefully what we think, where we go, what we watch on TV, and who we spend time with – make the right choices and life continues to get better, but make the wrong ones and you can end up in a tailspin.

So we need to make gratitude a habit, a natural part of our lives – something that you do frequently and without conscious effort. When you condition yourself to remain in a grateful state for significant lengths of time, it repels the negativity o the world and attracts more positive things into your life.

One way to start the gratitude habit is to make a list of all the good things in your life, and read it often – try to feel authentic gratitude for all of the things on the list, and try to add to your list regularly. Another is to try and find the silver lining in every situation, and focus on it rather than the negatives. A third is to see problems as challenges to be overcome or problems to be solved, rather than insurmountable obstacles. Finally, remember the old saying – ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!’.
